Creator Compensation and Payout Schedule

Version: CREATOR-COMPENSATION-v1.0-2026-07-10

Effective and last updated: July 10, 2026

Status: Pre-publication; accounting implementation does not yet match

This Schedule is incorporated into the Creator Terms. Checkout-specific written terms control only where they expressly identify a different approved program. Changes apply prospectively; historical versions and transaction calculations remain archived.

1. Definitions

  • Gross Receipts: amounts actually and successfully collected for eligible Lift Like access, not attempted or merely invoiced amounts.
  • Permitted Deductions: transaction-specific refunds, credits, rebates, chargebacks, reversals, disputed amounts, verified fraud losses, sales/VAT/GST/HST or similar taxes, required withholding, Stripe processing/Connect/payout/dispute fees, foreign-exchange costs, bank fees, and verified app-store or distribution fees. General overhead is not a deduction.
  • Net Receipts (N): Gross Receipts minus Permitted Deductions applied before the Platform Fee.
  • Platform Fee: the applicable flat amount plus percentage commission below.
  • Provisional Creator Share: the calculated share before hold, vesting, reserves, refunds, and offsets are complete.
  • Accrued Creator Share: a share that satisfied earning conditions but may be unavailable due to hold, reserve, verification, or offset.
  • Available Creator Share: an accrued share eligible for transfer through Stripe Connect.
  • Paid Creator Share: an amount transferred for the Creator.
  • Reserve: an amount retained against reasonably anticipated refunds, disputes, fraud, negative balances, legal duties, or processor risk.
  • Negative Balance: an amount owed or available for offset after reversals, refunds, chargebacks, errors, or permitted adjustments.
  • Unaccrued Annual Installment: a future annual-share portion that has not vested or become owed.

2. Currency, order, and rounding

Each calculation stays in the transaction currency. The flat fee is presently approved only where the transaction and flat fee are denominated in the same currency. Multi-currency conversion requires a published currency table identifying source, rate, and timestamp before launch. Calculations use integer minor units; percentage commission rounds to the nearest minor unit using half-up rounding. Annual installments allocate integer minor units, with the twelfth installment correcting the remainder.

Order: Gross Receipts → Permitted Deductions → Net Receipts → flat Platform Fee → percentage commission → Provisional Creator Share → refund/chargeback adjustments → accrual/release → reserve/offset → Available Creator Share → payout.

3. Weekly formula

For each paid week:

flat = min(N, 2.00)
commission = 15% * max(N - 2.00, 0)
creator_share = max(N - flat - commission, 0)

Examples (same currency, no other deductions):

Net ReceiptsFlat15% above flatCreator Share
$1.50$1.50$0.00$0.00
$2.00$2.00$0.00$0.00
$10.00$2.00$1.20$6.80

4. Full 12-month formula

flat = min(N, 52.00)
commission = 15% * max(N - 52.00, 0)
creator_share = max(N - flat - commission, 0)

For N = $120.00 with no other deductions:

ItemAmount
Net Receipts$120.00
Flat Platform Fee$52.00
Amount above flat$68.00
15% commission$10.20
Total retained by Lift Like$62.20
Provisional Creator Share$57.80
One-twelfth before roundingabout $4.8167

This is not an exact 50/50 split. Shortened terms, proration, upgrades, downgrades, pauses, leap-year treatment, and products other than a full 12-month term require an approved written rule.

5. Trials, discounts, refunds, and disputes

Free access creates no Gross Receipts. A coupon lowers Gross Receipts to the amount collected. A trial creates no share until a successful paid charge. A full refund reduces the transaction's Creator Share to zero. A partial refund recalculates eligible Net Receipts and fees, never below zero. Weekly charges within a customer guarantee window remain provisional. For annual refunds, unreleased installments are reduced first, followed by pending, available, and future balances; a post-payout shortfall becomes a Negative Balance. Chargebacks and later reversals use the same order.

Example: if a $10 weekly transaction produced $6.80 and is fully refunded before payout, the provisional share becomes $0. If already paid, $6.80 is offset from later shares or repayable after notice. Actual processor fees may remain a Permitted Deduction only when verified and disclosed on the statement.

6. Thirty-day hold

For immediately accruing shares, the successful charge creates a Provisional Creator Share. It becomes eligible to be Available 30 calendar days after the successful charge timestamp, provided it has accrued and no refund, dispute, reversal, fraud issue, verification failure, reserve, or offset applies. "Month" and statement-cycle language does not replace 30 calendar days.

A longer reasonable hold or Reserve may be applied for identified fraud, suspicious activity, high refund or dispute rates, pending claims, negative balances, legal duties, or Stripe requirements. The statement must identify the category and amount. Reserves do not earn interest unless required by law.

7. Annual release

After a successful annual charge, Lift Like calculates the provisional total. The first one-twelfth installment becomes eligible to accrue and become Available approximately 30 calendar days after the charge, if all conditions are met. One additional installment becomes eligible on each monthly anniversary. If that date does not exist, use the month's last calendar day. The twelfth installment corrects rounding. Refunds and reversals reduce unreleased installments first. Closure, inactivity, or Stripe disconnection does not accelerate installments.

8. Stripe Connect and payout

Payout requires a verified, active, payout-enabled Connected Account. Lift Like currently initiates separate transfers from its platform balance. Stripe then controls connected-account balance availability and bank payout timing. No instant-arrival promise is made. Minimum threshold, automatic versus requested payout, supported bank countries, payout fees, and creator ability to leave funds in Stripe are required before publication because current product behavior does not establish them consistently.

Invalid details or restriction block payout without accelerating or cancelling reconciliation. Lift Like may offset Negative Balances against unreleased, pending, Available, and future shares in that order and may request direct repayment after a statement and reasonable dispute opportunity.

9. Statements and disputes

Statements must show transaction currency, Gross Receipts, each deduction, fee components, share, charge date, 30-day date, annual installment date, reserve, offset, availability, payout, and correction. Report a calculation dispute to damon@liftlike.app within 60 days after the statement where lawful. Lift Like may correct errors at any time subject to applicable limitation periods and will provide an adjustment record rather than overwrite history.

10. Exit

Voluntary closure and for-cause termination do not confiscate accrued undisputed shares, but they do not accelerate amounts and end future renewals and Unaccrued Annual Installments, subject to enforceability. Convenience termination follows the Creator Terms' coherent content-use rule. All amounts remain subject to refund, chargeback, reserve, offset, verification, withholding, and final reconciliation.
